No Iwant to get some clarifications from experts Windows_old folder occupies 18 GB, and the $Windows.~BT folder also occupies about 6 GB. All my 100+ other applications installed were there without any issues. It was a hassle free installation otherwise.
This time I succeed in getting my Windows 8.1 updated. I dared to do this only because I had anĪcronis image beckup of my Windows 8.1. Next I tried with the DVD created from the same ISO file. For speed of installation I tried the Pendirve first. In the meanwhile I downloaded the 64 bit version and got aīootable 8GB Pendrive and another bootable DVD disk ready.
I waited and waited but it remained as such inspite of keeping my PC switched on till morning with a reasonably speedy internet connectivity.īut on inspecting Windows Update history I found that the process of updating to Windows have failed on 3 occations. It had grown up to a size of 6.4 GB at atime.
Very curious llike all those who were very expectant for Windows 10, I also keenly watched developments with the above folder, where Windows 10 is going to be downloaded before upgradation.
